When your child is amongst friends, there is a good chance that he or she may develop poor language. When this happens, talk to him and explain that the language he was using is not considered appropriate in your home. Correct him when you are alone with him, so that you will not embarrass him in front of his friends.
When traveling with children, ask about family security lines at the airport. Many airports have lanes specifically for families. This will allow you to go at your own pace and not have to concern yourself with other travelers that are in a rush. You will have to run everything you have through the X-rays, along with car seats and kids’ shoes.
Be sure to take time for yourself and away from your kids. Call a trusted sitter or family member to take care of the children while you take care of yourself for a little while. If parents don’t have time away from their kids, they often get more stressed, which increases the amount of tension in the house. Don’t spend a fortune on nursery items if you’re pregnant. Instead of shopping designer brands, seek out quality, affordable products from your local department store. You could also ask family or friends if they have any nursery products that they are not using.
